Hear exactly which sound gave you away.
Read a phrase out loud. HolosAccent scores it sound by sound, flags the phonemes that slipped, and turns the ones you keep missing into drills.
Three steps, about two minutes.
Read it out loud
Pick a CEFR band and hold the orb. A take runs a few seconds — no setup, no lesson to sit through.
See the sound that slipped
You get a score, and the exact word underlined, with the phoneme we expected against the one we heard.
Drill what repeats
Sounds you miss often rise to the top of your list. Tap one to practise it in the words where it actually failed.
Your accent, ranked by what keeps slipping.
Every take feeds a running tally per phoneme. Instead of a vague score, you get an ordered list of the sounds worth your next ten minutes, and a drill built from the words where each one failed.
Native audio, two accents
Hear the phrase in American or British English, slowed down when you need the detail.
CEFR-banded phrases
Practice material scaled from A1 to C2, drawn from open speech corpora.
Your own phrases
Type in a sentence you actually need to say and score that instead.
Progress that syncs
Takes, stats and streaks live in your account, so a new phone picks up where you left off.
Spelling and punctuation
Text you type is checked on our own servers before it becomes a practice phrase.
Works beyond the app
The same account backs a Telegram bot.
Your recordings are scored, then gone.
Audio is processed entirely by machine and discarded after scoring. No person listens, and nothing is kept unless you explicitly save a take. Your progress lives in your account so it survives a reinstall, and you can delete it whenever you like.
Ten takes a day, free. Unlimited when you want more.
Billing is handled by Google Play, shown in your local currency before you confirm.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Your daily quota, your subscription and your history live on the account, which is why progress survives a reinstall. Sign in with Google or Apple — one tap, no password to remember.
Are my recordings kept?
No, not by default: a take is scored and discarded — no person ever listens to it. Only if you turn history on is the audio saved, reachable by you alone through a link that expires in an hour.
Which accents can I hear?
Reference audio in American and British English, at a speed you choose. Scoring itself is accent-aware: it compares what you said to the phrase, sound by sound.
How accurate is the score?
HolosAccent is not a classroom course and does not grade you — it works as an individual trainer, judging each take sound by sound. The model can mishear, but this is rare; reference errors are subtracted from your statistics.
Where does the content come from?
Practice phrases come from public text corpora published under permissive open-source licenses; we filter, deduplicate and sort them into CEFR difficulty levels. Reference audio is synthesized on our own servers. Your recordings are never used to train anything.
How do I cancel?
In your Google Play subscription settings, any time. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for — cancelling does not cut it short.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. Delete the account from inside the app after confirming your password or Google sign-in: history, statistics and any saved recordings go with it.
